All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله and may His choicest Salaat (salutations) and Salaam (peace) descend upon the noblest of Ambiyaa and Rasuls, the greatest human being, the pinnacle of Allah Ta’ala’s creation, our master and leader, Hazrat Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, as well as upon his blessed household and all his illustrious companions رضي الله عنهم.

The blessings and virtues of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم are so immense and incredible that it leaves one incapable of enumerating them all. Suffice to say that he is the most beloved servant of Allah Ta’ala and will be the leader of the entire creation on the day of Qiyaamah.

Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم is the source of guidance and goodness for humanity at large. He was chosen to show us the path through which an individual can earn eternal bliss and salvation. By emulating the teachings of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم, one will be able to worship and recognize Allah Ta’ala correctly, as well as fulfill the rights of the creation.

If we study the blessed life and Seerat of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم, we will comprehend, acknowledge and appreciate the intense love that Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم possessed for every Ummati until the day of Qiyaamah. His ardent love, perpetual concern and overwhelming anxiety is beyond imagination.

Hence, when Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم is the source of all good in this world and our leader and guide to Jannah, we can well imagine the many rights he has over us. Among these rights is that we show complete obedience to him, lead our life in conformity to his blessed Sunnah and continuously recite Salaat and Salaam upon him as instructed by Allah Ta’ala in the Quran Majeed:

Allah and His angels send Salaat and Salaam (blessings) upon Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم. O you who believe! Send Salaat and Salaam upon him. (Surah Ahzab: 56)

Sadly, on account of busy schedules, we have neglected our relationship with Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. As a result, the Ummah is drowning in overwhelming stress, unending anxiety and uneasiness.
