The son-in-law of Moulana Faizul Hasan Saharanpuri رحمه اللہ once mentioned to Hazrat Shaikhul Hadith Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya رحمه اللہ that upon the demise of Moulana Faizul Hasan رحمه اللہ , a fragrant, sweet smell used to spread forth from his room. This continued for an entire month after his demise. When this condition was related to Moulana Qaasim Naanotwi رحمه اللہ, he remarked, “This is the blessing of the Durood he used to recite upon Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم.” During his lifetime, Moulana Faizul Hasan Saheb رحمه اللہ had accustomed himself to recite abundant Durood upon Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم, particularly on a Friday night (i.e. the night preceding Friday). It was his habit to stay awake the entire night occupying himself in the recitation of Durood Shareef.

يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ دَائِمَاً أَبَدًا عَلَىْ حَبِيْبِكَ خَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ كُلِّهِمِ
“O Sustainer, shower Salaat and Salaam forever and ever upon Your beloved, who is the best of all creation.”
جَزَی اللّهُ عَنَّا نَبِيَّنَا مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّی الله عَلَیْه وسَلَّمَ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ
May Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله reward our Nabi Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم on our behalf such a reward that is due to Him.
