It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said “Whoever recited Durood upon me by my grave I hear it and whoever recites durood upon me from far, Allah Ta’ala appoints an angel to convey it to me. All his matters of the world and the hereafter will be sufficed. And I will be a witness or an intercessor for him (the reciter) on the day of Qiyamah.”
Commentary
Allamah Sakhaawi رحمه الله has quoted several Ahaadith informing us that Durood Shareef sent from far will be brought to Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم through the angels, whereas Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم himself hears the Durood which is read upon him by his grave. What an honour!
(Fazail Durood Shareef pg.35)
“O Sustainer, shower Salaat and Salaam forever and ever upon Your beloved, who is the best of all creation.”
May Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله reward our Nabi Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم on our behalf such a reward that is due to Him.
