عن أبي الدرداء قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: من صلى علي حين يصبح عشرا وحين يمسي عشرا أدركته شفاعتي يوم القيامة (مجمع الزوائد رقم ۱۷۰۲۲)
Hazrat Abu Darda رضي الله عنه reports that Sayyiduna Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said; “Whoever recites ten Durood upon me in the morning and ten Durood upon me in the evening, he will receive my intercession on the Day of Qiyaamah.”

Reflections
We should question ourselves as to what values we have instilled in the lives of our children. Nowadays, we give the kids phones, ipads and gadgets to keep them occupied but unfortunately, there is no real concern or motivation for Durood Shareef. As a start, let us as parents encourage our children to recite Durood Shareef ten times in the morning and ten times in the evening. By virtue of this simple habit, we can pattern a path for them to receive the intercession of Sayyiduna Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم on the Day of Qiyamah. This attachment to Durood Shareef can be the determining factor of their salvation.
يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ دَائِمَاً أَبَدًا عَلَى حَبِيْبِكَ خَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ كُلِّهِمِ
“O Sustainer, shower Salaat and Salaam forever and ever upon Your beloved, who is the best of all creation.”
جَزَی اللہُ عَنَّا نَبِيَّنَا مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْه وسَلَّمَ بِمَا هُوَ أَھْلُهُ
May Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله reward our Nabi Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم on our behalf such a reward that is due to Him.
