مَاذَا أَقُولُ بِمَدْحِهِ وَ ثَنَائِهِ
مَاذَا يَقُولُ الْأَبْكَمُ فِي الْأَمْجَدِ
What can I say in praise and commendation of Him?
What can the dumb say about the most glorious?
مَاذَا يَقُولُ الْوَادِي فِي مَدْحِ الذُّرَى
مَاذَا يَقُولُ شَاعِرٌ فِي الأَوْحَدِي
What can the valley say in praise of the mountain peaks?
What can a poet say about the One and Only?
وَهَلِ الظَّلَامُ مَادِحٌ شَمْسَ الضُّحى
فَكَيْفَ أَقْدِرُ مَدْحَ أَفْضَلِ سَيِّدِ
Can darkness praise the sun’s brightness?
How can I possibly praise the best of masters?
یا سائلي عَنْ أَحْمَد وَ كَمَالِهِ
مَا فِي الْبَرِيَّةِ كَامِلٌ كَمُحَمَّدِ
O you who ask about Ahmad (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) and his perfection,
